Interpreters Unlimited Wins Interpretation Contract From University of Miami
Interpreters Unlimited has been awarded a three year contract from the University of Miami’s Hospital to deliver interpreting and translation services to its patients, faculty, staff, employees, volunteers and officers.
SAN DIEGO, July 18, 2016— The University of Miami recently selected Interpreters Unlimited, a full-service language services company to supply interpreting and translation services to the University of Miami’s hospital patients, students, faculty, employees, staff, volunteers, trustees and officers. The three year contract went into effect July 11, for Interpreters Unlimited to do business as its Florida sister company, Accessible Communication for the Deaf (ACD). The contract win is expected to enhance the company’s already growing presence in south Florida.
Under this contract, on-site spoken language interpreting and translation are provided. “The opportunity to work with the University of Miami is amazing,” says, Lisa Campbell, senior director,of ACD. “This venture allows us to help foster the relationship between the University hospital and its patients. It also allows us to aide in the growth, well-being and medical understanding of our local community.”
Working in academic settings is not new to us, explains Shamus Sayed, vice president of Interpreters Unlimited. “We know that timing and accessibility are everything in academia. When an interpreter or document translation is needed, staff and faculty use our proprietary customer service web portal to submit requests, view past appointments and access invoices right from their fingertips. It speeds up the time it takes to find an available interpreter for the language requested and allows them to better serve the campus community. The era of being confined to traditional business hours is over.”
Interpreters Unlimited offers more than two hundred languages for on-site interpreting and document translation services. Services are carried out by its network of 9,000 contracted linguists and are available nationwide.
